||Director of Trauma

||Position Located in Tacoma WA.
The Director-Trauma Program has administrative responsibility and accountability for the planning and direction of clinical, financial, and operational activities of Trauma Services at Mary Bridge Children'ís Hospital as a designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. The Trauma Program Director defines and monitors the development and application of standards and research to enhance quality patient care, implementation and evaluation of performance improvement. The incumbent designs, facilitates and directs the delivery of care and service to customers including pediatric trauma patients, staff, physicians, family members and community representatives. Additional responsibilities include interpretation and development of trauma patient care standards, provisions of quality health services, resource allocation and fiscal management in coordination with system providers. The Trauma Program Director works collaboratively and effectively with the Trauma Medical Director.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required
Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) certification preferred

- 8 years clinical experience, with preferably 3 years in pediatric emergency or critical care
- 5 years progressive experience in managerial or supervisory or leadership capacity
- Masters of Science in related field required
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
- BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
