The Trauma Coordinator assists in planning, developing, facilitating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating all aspects of the trauma program. The Coordinator oversees quality improvement activities, collaborates with the injury prevention personnel, and acts as a clinical resource to all departments responsible for care of trauma patients. In addition, the Coordinator provides and coordinates education for the trauma services within the Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) and assists in the development and maintenance of appropriate and required clinical reports for the CHCO, county, and the State of Colorado.

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • EXPERIENCE: Four years of nursing experience one year of which must have been in critical care, emergency room, or trauma program management.
  • CERTIFICATION(S): BLS - American Heart Association for Healthcare Provider OR American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer/CPR Certificate.
  • LICENSURE: Registered Nurse license.
