Responsible for assuring that the care provided for the injured patient and family by the interdisciplinary team for clinical care coordination meets the Standards set forth by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF). Serves as a trauma resource throughout the continuum of care fostering coordinated care as well as addressing trauma program goals. The Specialist supports all Performance Improvement components of a Level 1, state accredited, Pediatric Trauma Program. The individual is responsible for monitoring, promoting, and evaluating all trauma-related PIPS activities, and reports directly to the Pediatric Trauma Program Manager. Responsibilities also include review of potential performance improvement events, action plan development, review of patient outcomes, loop closure, and participation in departmental and hospital-wide safety committees.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a Master's degree in Nursing required.

3 years clinical experience with demonstrated success in quality initiatives required.

Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.
