||Academic Chief of Pediatric Surgery

The Division of Pediatric Surgery at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine seeks a pediatric surgeon at the Associate Professor or Professor level to join a busy clinical and academic program. This individual will serve as the Chief of the Pediatric Surgery Division. This person is required to provide continuity of administrative excellence, to maintain growth of the Pediatric Surgery service, and to provide excellent pediatric patient care while teaching and training residents and students.
Candidates must be board certified in pediatric surgery, have demonstrated a strong interest in clinical and academic achievement, and be committed to the education and training of students and residents. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership and successful research in pediatric surgery. Interest and experience in ECMO, pediatric NSQIP, trauma, and advanced minimally invasive techniques are preferred. Kentucky Children’s Hospital is an ACS Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, a Level IV NICU, and an ELSO Center of Excellence. The catchment area reaches 1.6 million people. UK HealthCare’s University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital has been named the No. 1 Hospital in Kentucky by the U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospitals Rankings for the last five consecutive years. Kentucky Children’s Hospital is ranked in two Pediatric Specialties by U.S. News & World Report.

This full-time faculty position will be the in the Department of Surgery at the UK College of Medicine.
