If you wish to submit your paper to the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery or another Journal for review, and say it was presented at the PTS Annual Meeting, the paper MUST first be reviewed by the PTS Publications Committee, which is done through the JTACS Review portal. Many papers have benefited from the feedback by the committee and it has led to successful publication papers. Thus, it is to your advantage to submit on time. The deadline to submit your manuscript is October 1, 2022. This is a firm deadline, manuscripts submitted after October 1st will not be able to be reviewed.
Please Note: All Tepas Competition Abstracts are REQUIRED to submit their manuscript by October 1st. Failure to comply will result in withdrawal from the program.
If you are submitting your manuscript for review, please follow the below instructions:
- In order to have your manuscript reviewed by the PTS Publications Committee, regardless of whether you plan to try to get it published in JTACS or not, it must be submitted through the JTACS portal. Please visit the website to submit your paper. If it is the first time you are submitting a manuscript you will need to register. When submitting your manuscript, be sure to select "PTS2022" as the Article Type to ensure it is reviewed by the PTS publications committee.
- The paper will need to formatted for the journal, please read the instructions for authors before submitting On your manuscript, please note in the acknowledgement section that the paper was presented at the 2022 Pediatric Trauma Society Annual Scientific Meeting.

- All manuscripts will be reviewed by at least 2 reviewers and the reviews will be sent to the corresponding author. We recognize that not all papers will be appropriate for publication in the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery but maybe appropriate for another journal. The feedback to the authors will include those recommendations.
- The deadline for submission is October 1, 2022. Manuscripts received after October 1, 2022 date will not be considered.
