The mission of the Education Committee is to assure that PTS is considered the premier repository of pediatric trauma educational resources within the United States
Conduct a learning needs assessment to assess educational gaps every two – three years
To develop additional high quality resources targeted to address gaps and eventually measure the impact of these resources
Develop educational forums within the website
- Update and assure validity of pediatric trauma cme links and clinical resources on the PTS website
- Expand Journal Scan to monthly reviews based on multi-disciplinary, current topics of interest
- Develop co-chair role to allow for seamless transitions of committee leadership
Long Term Goal:
In the future, PTS should offer CME credit for members.
Build a robust Journal Scan section which can be referenced by trauma center’s that develop their own internal education process to meet American College of Surgeon’s requirements for education.
The Education committee is composed of a chair and active participants in conference calls (maximum 20)
Charter Changes and Renewal
The committee will review and reassess the adequacy of this charter annually and recommend any proposed changes to the PTS board for approval.
